Who we are
We are senior therapists specialising in neurology. We have joined Physio Where You Are because we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to reach their potential following neurological damage.
Erica set up the team and we will let her tell you the rest!
You can be assured of excellent treatment by any member of the Physio Where You Are team. I am confident of that because I have very stringent criteria before I allow anybody to join. Oh, by the way, I am Erica, you can get more information about me here! I am now going to let you know how fussy I am about who joins the team.
All the Physio Where You Are team are:
- Fully qualified therapists
- Registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC)
- Members of relevant professional bodies
But as far as I am concerned that’s not enough, I want more…
So everybody must have been:
- Qualified for at least 5 years
- Working at a senior level in neurology for at least 3 years
- A member of a neurological team at a senior level
Now the potential team members are looking good, but I want more…
Everybody must have been on:
- Recent neurological courses specifically designed to improve treatment skills
- A ‘Normal Movement course’ run by BBTA
Definitely looking better, but guess what… yep… I want more…
Every member must:
- Be a member of their special neurological interest group
- Agree to peer supervision by another team member on a regular basis.
- Agree to regular joint session with patients with myself (how mean is that!)
- Agree to teach other team members on a regular basis.
Ahhhh, now I am happy that I have an excellent team. I am sure that you will agree.
