I qualified in 1999 from the University of Teesside University and completed my junior training at Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham. After a period of world travel and locum work in various neurological areas, I returned to the NHS in 2002 to specialise in Neurological Physiotherapy, first in Sunderland and then Nottingham.

In 2005 I became the lead Physiotherapist for Stroke Rehabilitation at the Royal Derby hospital and still work there part-time as a Clinical Specialist Physio in both Acute Stroke and Stroke Rehabilitation. I also enjoy working part-time within the PWYA team.

I have always been passionate about learning and teaching and in 2007 I completed a Post Grad Certificate in the Bobath Concept. This has been bolstered over the years by further specialist courses including Advanced Courses in the Bobath Concept.

Outside of work, my husband and I chase round after our 3 children. I also enjoy playing hockey, keeping fit and seeking out adventures with my family and friends.
