Ruth Sturt

I qualified in West London in 1993, moving to Nottingham in 1998. I specialised in stroke very early in my career and have done many courses within the field - including advanced Bobath courses and a Bobath masters.

I work part-time as a clinical specialist in the Nottingham stroke unit, and the other half as a director and practitioner in PWYA. I have experience in teaching and developing other therapists. I am an advocate for improving stroke rehabilitation, both within the NHS and the private sector.

Working in these two roles creates a busy lifestyle, but in my free time, I like to spend time on my allotment, time with friends and family, and keeping fit. I am an active member of my local church, assisting with the music.
